What It’s Really Like To Build Entire Cars By Hand

If someone has a couple hundred thousand dollars to sling around out there on the market, there are certainly no shortage of automobiles that can be bought. It’s certainly a good position to be in as the options really begin to open up at this price point. However, for those in that price range, it’s not too common that someone can say that their car has been entirely built by hand. Sure, we have high-end manufacturers out there that promise that some of their components might be made by hand and perhaps the car was assembled by hand and highly quality checked. However, there are very few that were created by one individual and his own two hands.

This is why, when coming across a brand like Runge Cars, that it’s hard to not be impressed. It’s actually quite easy to be entranced by the idea that these cars are the product of lots of hours of hard work and mental manipulation to get to the finished product that is something to be admired. Once seeing something come together like this, behind the scenes, we’ll never see these cars the same way again!

This time, we’re taken inside of the whole ordeal that starts with some very basic materials. To kick things off, a handmade wooden buck is designed to give the general architecture of the car a little bit of shape. We then follow along with the process that pulls together the aluminum panels and shapes them so that they begin to resemble a car. Without getting too detailed, let’s just say that there is a lot of attention paid to detail and care invested to finally get to that shining finished product.
