Buying a Fake Lamborghini off Craigslist Could be the Best Bad Buy Ever!
Would you pay $26,000 for a Pontiac Fiero?
That’s basically what the creators by the name of the CBoys had come up against. Apparently, they were on the lookout for a replica Lamborghini and when they finally came across one, they couldn’t help but head out to look at it. The car in question appears to have started out life as the aforementioned Pontiac Fiero as many replica cars do. However, with a variety of body panels and a coat of lime green paint, this thing actually looks more like a Lamborghini than one might think.
On the other hand, it’s also kind of predictable that with a car like this, that it’s probably likely that you’re going to run into something with some mechanical issues. At the end of the day, expecting somebody to put together a kit like this and not run into any problems is probably more of a far-fetched fantasy than anything.
Upon test driving the look-alike, the driver actually found the machine yields quite a few compliments in the midst of the mechanical issues. In the scheme of things, it seems like most people on the street couldn’t differentiate a real from a fake even though lots of gear heads see all of the screaming red flags sticking out.
At the end of the day, it certainly isn’t a Lamborghini and doesn’t perform like one. However, at $26,000, it’s not exactly priced as high as a Lamborghini would be, either.
We find that this video is interesting because it isn’t all that often that we’re able to get up close and personal with machines like these. Sure, we have seen videos and pictures of them floating around before but actually getting to ride along with the experience of driving one is a completely different ball game. Do you think that you would spend $26,000 to buy a replica like this?
