Camaro Restoration Gone Wrong!

When you head out to the used car market with your bundle of cash, it’s very easy to fall into the hands of someone whose intentions just aren’t that honest. While it easy to be trusting of somebody, especially when they have the car you want, or at least you’re led to believe they do, we tend to give them the benefit of the doubt because we want things to go smoothly.

When you’re looking at older cars, especially ones that provide an easier canvas to hide bad repairs and rust, you need to be extra vigilant. As you will see in the video below, there are some pretty simple, but very shady, ways to hide major issues with a car, especially if you’re intentionally trying to hide issues like rust and previous damage just well enough to let some poor, unsuspecting buyer take the car off your hands. It’s shady, but it does happen far more often than we’d like to believe.

This time, we check out a Chevrolet Camaro project purchase gone wrong. From the fact that the car is the wrong year to all of the hidden “repairs” that the original owner underwent, this car is pretty much a wreck. The previous owner may not have realized he had the wrong year model, as the subtle differences in models aren’t always obvious to the untrained eye. However, he lied and said the car had very little rust or body damage when the Camaro was actually eaten up with rust and pretty heavily damaged in places. Instead of just telling the potential buyer about these issues, he tried to pass the car off as being in better shape than it really is.
