With the ease of access to technology these days, it seems like it’s getting easier and easier to get your hands on quality hardware of all kinds at an inexpensive price. However, as this technology advances, sometimes, there are certain things that you still want to spend money on to get the better version, especially when it’s for an item that could be responsible for something important. In the case of a dash cam, we would suggest that you get something that works reliably with good quality. In this one, we ride along with Rob Dahm to get to see if a cheaper alternative, a $9 unit from Walmart, to be more exact, could possibly find a way to compare to one of its competitors that ring up a price tag of $200.

Don’t get me wrong, everybody wants to save a couple of bucks here and there and if you could spend a small fraction of the price on something that is just effective you shoud do it. However, straight from start, it looks like in this situation, you can really tell that this incredibly cheap dash cam solution just simply isn’t going to get the job done.

When it comes down to it, the picture provided by such a camera is so flimsy that if you were ever to get into an issue where you would need that footage to hold another driver accountable, it’s simply would be pretty much useless. There’s no way that the footage that you’re pulling off of this thing is going to help you out in most spots should you have to go to court or show it to the police.
