Can a Honda Civic Take Down a New ZR1?
With each and every car that comes out in the performance landscape and can take a shot at claiming that it’s top dog, we want to compare it to pretty much everything. Among the latest cars that are really swinging for the fences as some of the most notable in the performance community, we obviously have to pay respect to the latest rendition of the Chevrolet Corvette ZR1, a car that has come out and really made just about everybody in the performance community struggle to pick their jaws up off of the floor as we have all seen exactly what it’s capable of and this is just the tip of the iceberg.
This time, the action is coming from none other than Cecil County Dragway as a pair of the new ZR1s make their way to the lanes as both Race Proven Motorsports and Horespower Addicts, both out of Delaware, made their way to the track in order to lay down a couple of baseline numbers as a basis for comparison when they begin to modify the cars.
Now, the machines can’t be tuned yet as tuning software manufacturers are still grappling with putting together a support system, however, the untuned cars, both complete with an aftermarket intake and x-pipe, still manage to make some noise in the quarter.
If you follow along down in the video below, you’ll be able to check in on the nearly identical twins as they give us all what we have been dying to see as the latest and greatest Corvette rocks its way down the quarter mile. Since this is pretty much the jumping off point for these cars, it’s going to be incredibly interesting to see where things go as time continues on. It really looks like just some basic modifications are really going to have these things ripping.
