If you haven’t found yourself deeply ingrained in racing that happens overseas, you might not know that those guys have an astute ability to take the likes of the tame Nissan Patrol and making it a powerhouse of a machine, plowing down drag strips and up dunes in a way like you might have never even thought possible.

This time, we check out a clip from the season one finale of The Grand Tour, the show that has plucked up the trio of hosts from Top Gear and started anew on Amazon Prime with the aim of bringing us all of the shenanigans and antics that we have come to know and love so much.

What do the show and the Nissan Patrol have to do with one another? This time we find out as the show takes such an SUV and puts it up against the likes of one of the most popular hypercars of the last couple of years in the Porsche 918, a vehicle that has quite the impressive stature in straight-line racing.
