Changing a Flat Tire in the Middle of the Road is a Bad Idea!

When you find that your car has a flat tire, The best thing you can do for yourself is to navigate yourself and your ride to the safest place possible given the circumstances and swap it out with the spare tire only when you find a somewhat safe part of the roadway. There’s a reason why things like these are preached and it isn’t because the person telling it to you wants to waste their breath.

This time, we tune into a dashcam video that not only had someone changing their tire in a dangerous location, but that dangerous location also happened to be right in the middle of a highway. Yes, someone was dumb enough to actually try this out in an active lane of travel!

We watch as the person that goes to swap out the spare right in the middle of traffic and, as you could probably imagine, the end result wasn’t so fun to watch. We tune in as a car flying faster than the rest of the traffic attempts to swerve out of the way after seeing the stopped vehicle at the last minute but still clips the bumper instead.

It does look like all of the debris flew in the direction opposite of the person changing the tire but this was still entirely too close of a call that could have easily been avoided. Even if I was stranded in the middle of the highway, there is no way that you would find me out there working on my car.
