Battle Over “Chevy VS Ford” Ends In A Shooting.

I think that it’s important to start this one off by telling you that no, we are not kidding. Even though this sounds like a great big made-up story, somebody actually lost it over potentially the most pointless debate ever. It escalated to a point where things got downright terrifying. Luckily, everyone made it out alive.

Sure, here in the automotive community, we can get into heated discussions sometimes. One of the more popular arguments would be related to Chevrolet versus Ford. We all have our favorite, after all, and this rivalry has been tossed around garages for decades. It can be fun to pick each other’s brains on the discussion.

However, in Bedford County, Virginia, the sheriff‘s office reports that A 56-year-old man would take the debate a little bit too far. They tell us that Mark Edwin Turner was charged with felony malicious wounding, use of a firearm in the commission of a felony, and possession of a firearm by a felon. Just remember, all of this was over a debate about trucks.

Via 6WJAC, the argument started between Turner and his girlfriend’s son, according to Bedford County Commonwealth’s Attorney, Wes Nance. During the argument, Turner allegedly pulled out a knife and his girlfriend attempted to get between Turner and her son. It’s said that she was stabbed in the lower back area by Turner which would leave behind a 6-inch wound.

Turner is then said to have gone into the house and come back outside with a gun. His girlfriend positioned herself again between Turner and her son. This is when Turner allegedly shot her five times in the leg. One of the bullets would pass her and shoot her son in the arm.

From what we understand, nobody was fatally injured in the incident. Investigators say that there was possible drug activity happening at the residence. It looks like Mark Edwin Turner is facing the potential for a long time in jail for what might be the dumbest crime ever committed.
