Cop Lets Kids Use Patrol Car Speakers To Say Bye To Dad As His Navy Ship Leaves
For every joyful military family reunion, there has to be a tearful goodbye.
When Joshua Buetow was deployed for a tour of duty with the US Navy, his wife Brettany watched with their two young children as his ship, the USS Carl Vinson, departed from port in San Diego.
As Joshua’s family watched the massive vessel slip out to sea, four year Rileigh and two year old Austin tried their best to yell their goodbyes across the growing span of ocean. Nearby, officer James Weaver noticed their plight and called them over to his patrol SUV and let them use his public address speaker to blast their sentiments out with a little added volume.
Unfortunately they still weren’t quite loud enough for their departing daddy to hear, but the moment was no less touching. We wish Joshua a safe tour and thank him, along wth all of our deployed men and women, for their selfless dedication and service to our nation.
