CTS-V Grudge Races G8 for the Cash!
When it comes to the likes of the Cadillac CTS V, it really is a car that would go a long way towards transforming the image of Cadillac from a grandma and grandpa Sunday cruiser brand to something that could be cool again for people with a passion for speed. It is a car that you can hop behind the wheel of and go at it, laying down an impressive time on the drag strip before packing it in and driving it to dinner afterward, right after you clock a 9-second or better pass down the quarter mile, that is, after just a little bit of modification.
This time, we catch up with a CTS-V owner who has really made the most of the platform, throwing a couple of choice modifications into the mix while still retaining a bunch of stock parts. Dave Pearson would take the car Holly Performance’s LS Fest to show off exactly what the machine had got and it really put on a show. After a couple of passes, the car would prove that it had the ability to be a consistent mid to high 9-second car, however, before long, a little bit of smack talking in the pits would eventually turn into a grudge race that would allow the owner of a nitrous infused Pontiac G8 to take a crack at this heavy hitting Caddie as they would have at it for a couple hundred dollars.
If you head down to the BigKleib34 video below, you’ll get a much closer look at the Cadillac that means a little bit of business when it rolls up to the line. When it comes to the luxury performance market, this is just another example of why it’s tough to beat the value that you get out of a car like the second generation CTS-V. After getting a chance to go through this machine with a fine tooth comb, be sure to tell us what you think of the raging monster out there on the drag strip.
