Dad Had to Give Up Corvette, Family Surprises Him With a New One Years Later (Very Emotional)

It’s a story that we’ve heard more than once. It’s an unfortunate matter of fact, but sometimes, life simply does not align with our plans. Sometimes, a wild curveball might be thrown in someone’s direction that causes them to have to do a little bit of sacrificing. With that in mind, it certainly takes a strong person to be able to give up their own things in order to provide a better life for their family. Sometimes, it can be easy to look at this and say “Of course, somebody would give up a Corvette when it came down to their family’s well-being” but the sad truth is that not everybody would be willing to give up their car for such a situation.

For this father, however, hanging onto something like a sports car wasn’t in the cards when he had kids to raise. It doesn’t seem to matter how attached he was to such a car which, with this video and his display of knowledge, seems to be a good bit. He made the call that there were things that were bigger and more important in life. Therefore, there would come a day when the 1973 Chevrolet Corvette simply had to go.

On the bright side, though, it would seem as if this father did a pretty good job of raising his kids to the point where they would be ready to return the favor when they’d grown up, showing their appreciation for all that dad has done over the years by going out and getting him the same car that he once loved so much. The look on his face is nothing short of priceless as dad is admiring the car in the parking lot before realizing that it’s his. Once the keys are handed over to him, the cat is out of the bag and the look on his face really says it all. We think that his reaction might just bring a tear to your eye.

Dad admires a car he used to have, then he gets the keys

DAD IS SURPRISED WITH OLD CAR. (WORTH THE WATCH) This dad is admiring a car he sees parked in a restaurant parking lot, it reminds him of his old car that he had to sell to to help raise kids. He's reminiscing and telling stories and daughter hands him the keys. Try not to cry. Amazing story. #GreatStory #VintageCar #SweetFamily (via BirdPlan/Reddit)
