Daddy Dave Gets Trolled By a Drone at Lights Out 8
Street Outlaws star Daddy Dave bolted up a pair of radials on the rear of Goliath 2.0 and headed to Adel Georgia for Lights Out 8 a couple of weeks ago. While he was there, Dave was visited in the pits by this drone, piloted by Chuck Wriston.
Wriston was buzzing around overhead all weekend, gathering bird’s eye perspective of the action, and when there was a break in the racing, he would head over and soar around the pits to check out the racers doing between-rounds maintenance and just hanging out. That’s where he encountered Dave, who immediately took notice of the drone and began interacting with Chuck from the ground, signaling to the quadcopter to come closer, before posing for a photo op.
Dave then held out his arm and Chuck actually parked the drone deftly in Dave’s outstretched hand, before taking to the sky again. Dave, who ran well at Lights Out 8 in Outlaw Drag Radial, faded into the distance as the drone returned to cruising altitude to gather some more overhead footage.
