Dale Earnhardt Jr. Crashes in Huge Snowstorm, Warns People to Stay Off Roads
Snow and ice are as unpredictable as it gets. Once winter weather hits, it can really broadside you both figuratively and literally, providing a driving surface that isn’t exactly accommodating, even if you make a slight mistake. In fact, sometimes, you might not even be aware that the surface beneath you is slick as black ice can really tend to sneak up on you and throw you through a whole series obstacles that you never saw coming. Therefore, even the most talented drivers in the world might want to stay inside when ice begins to come down and coat roadways.
If you’re currently on the west coast, you probably aren’t feeling the ill effects of all of the snow and ice, however, if you find yourself on the east coast, you know just how cold and brutal some areas are really getting. Racing star, Dale Earnhardt Jr. has found himself in Mooresville, North Carolina, where much of his racing operation is based out of. This is an area where the winter weather has really heavily come down and, as such, Junior has decided to play the role of good Samaritan, helping to pull out a car stuck in a ditch. Shortly after, things would quickly go south for him as apparently, no good deed goes unpunished.
Dale Jr Tweeted: “NC stay off the roads today/tonight. 5 minutes after helping these folks I center punched a pine tree.”
Apparently, just moments after playing the role of the good guy and deciding to pull out another motorist who needed some help, he would find himself in a predicament where his pickup truck would slide off of the road and into a tree. Junior’s spokesperson would report that neither Earnhardt nor his truck were injured, however, it’s definitely a scary situation for just about anyone
