Davey Allison’s First Win Ever: 1987 Winston 500 at Talladega

Throughout time, just about everything changes and racing is most certainly falls right into that category as it’s most certainly one of the quickest advancing industries that there are. There are almost no aspects of racing that look the way that they did in 1987.

This time, we check out a little throwback to NASCAR of 30 years ago when things were a lot simpler than they are today and it shows! This time, Davey Allison takes his first checkered flag in the then Winston 500 and everything from the cars’ technology to the broadcast, this one spills out the nostalgia.

We ride along and soak up the old school broadcast straight out of Talladega as it’s a completely different scene that unfolds in front of our eyes that might take you back to a time where the cards just fell into place and restrictions weren’t in place.
