Dennis Collins ’72 Dodge Charger Rally Edition. One Hell of a Great Restoration Car!
In this day and age, many cars come standard with a lot of the options that you expect but back in the day, that wasn’t the case at all. In fact, just about everything that you could find in or on the car from colors to the design of the dashboard could have been an option, therefore, making a lot of cars that have all of the options a lot rarer to get your hands on. This time, we check out a Mopar machine with Dennis Collins that really seems to be stacked up in terms of the various options that you could expect to go with this year and model.
On the surface, what we have is a 1972 Dodge Charger Really Edition. Now, what makes the Rally Edition different from any other Charger? Well, it starts with the indents on the doors and continues in other features that Dennis is going to describe to you. On top of this being a rare model, it also comes with a whole plethora of other features that, according to Collins, you wouldn’t see in too many comparable cars. He even goes as far as saying that this one, optioned the way that it is, might just be the only one of its kind.
This particular beast features a four-barrel 440 under the hood, a hood that just so happens to be an air grabber, one of the options that Collins says is particularly rare. Now, with cars like this, you have to be careful and pay attention to how they were taken care of because there’s a good chance that they could’ve been left out in the field to rot but this particular machine has been sitting in a garage since 1989, keeping many of its features in good condition and appearing to leave minimal work for restoration.
Take a tour of this machine down in the video below as Dennis gives you the grand tour of what you can expect out of a rare classic like this. With all factors considered, Collins says that this one will be up for sale for under $20,000.
