Does a $140 Gas Can Out Perform a $25 Unit?

If anybody has purchased a gas can over the past couple of years, they’ve probably noticed that things have changed up quite a bit. Back in the day, these containers were relatively straightforward and incredibly intuitive to use. Popular units offered up a can to store the gas in with a neck that had a cap that could be removed. However, it seems as if more recently, it’s much more in style to add anti-spill mechanisms and things have gotten pretty complicated. As most of us have probably found out, it turns out that these anti-spill mechanisms are really helpful for helping to do the opposite.

This time, we check in with a little video from Project Farm that takes on the idea of comparing each and every gas can to one another. As it turns out, just as with a variety of other tools, there are even premium gas cans and budget units as well.

On one of the spectrum, with this comparison, we took out a can that comes in with a $140 price tag. It seems a bit pricey for something of this nature. However, with the test here we’re going to find out if it truly is worth the money over a $25 gas can.

Among the metrics that are going to be tested out, we see which can has the best flow, most ability to stay upright, durability, and even corrosion resistance for the metal cans in the selection.

Down in the video below, we try to find out if there is an answer to these pain in the neck spill-resistant cans. Are we all just doomed to be stuck with these inconvenient mechanisms or is there an answer, even if it means paying up a little bit to get to it? It’s time to find out.
