Even if we could save someone from the trauma of going through totaling a car, spreading the message of not texting and driving would be worth it. If we could go as far as saving a life, it would be even more so!

This time, we check out a situation in which a person behind the wheel of a Nissan Maxima diverts their attention to the screen of their cell phone and ends up paying the price.

We check in with a security camera that captures the entire incident on video as the car plows through a light pole and hits a tree before rolling over.

We have no word on the driver’s condition, but this footage should serve as a lesson to not allow yourself to fall into the common yet dangerous situation of texting while driving.
