Driving a $30 Million Car Sounds Nerve Racking but This Guy BEATS on One!
There seems to be an ongoing debate about cars that cost a lot of money and how exactly they should be treated. After all, if a car has a racing heritage and it’s left to sit locked up in a garage, you can definitely see how enthusiasts would chomp at the bit to try and convince the owner to go out there and hound on it like it was designed to be beaten on. However, on the opposite hand, you can see how, if somebody spent a boatload of money in order to have a dream car, how they wouldn’t want to go out there and devalue their investment, either.
This time, we check out a concept that really takes that whole idea to a new high. The Shelby Cobra Daytona Coupe is a car that is this incredibly rare and fun to look at when it’s wide open, but it really takes that idea of an expensive ride to new heights as the folks from the Goodwood Festival of Speed tell us that it should be worth about €25 million which ends up equating to about $32 million, or a little bit north of that. It’s kind of hard to imagine even driving a car like this at a low speed let alone ripping on it and beating on it as you take it around corners with an absolute vengeance, revving out the engine to high RPMs as you sling it around and really exercise that racing heritage.
If you follow along down in the video below, you’ll be able to catch the scene as the one of six Shelby Cobra Daytona Coupe takes on the track in a way that most people haven’t seen a car like this do in years upon years. You might want to peel your eyes for this one as Kenny Brack hops behind the wheel because this could potentially be a scene that you will never be able to catch ever again.
