Drone captures Chuck in the Deathtrap almost crashing and saving it!
What’s the best way to grab somebody’s attention with just eleven seconds of drone footage? We found one way! Send the drone high above the finish line at OutLaw Armageddon and just wait, as something sketchy is liable to happen sooner rather than later. In this clip, the eye in the sky is hovering overhead at Noble Oklahoma’s Thunder Valley Raceway Park when Street Outlaws star Chuck Seitsinger appears to be destined to show us why he chose the nickname he’s bestowed upon his Death Trap Mustang, but instead shows off some pretty badass driving skills.
Chuck, racing in the right lane, is out in front of his competitor at last years OutLaw Armageddon event when the Death Trap gets crossed up and swaps lanes only inches in front of the other car, which had also gotten out of shape and had to lift out of the throttle. With his Mustang headed for an unplanned meeting with the retaining wall, Chuck does a masterful job of reeling it in and keeping it out of the wall, while the other driver also does his part by jumping on the brakes, giving Seitsinger just enough space to avoid contact between the cars. The clip is short and there is no sound, but if there were its very likely you would hear a collective gasp from everybody on the property.
Props to both drivers for their quick thinking and excellent driving, as this could have ended very badly for one or both of them if things had gone only slightly differently.
