Drone Pilot Skillfully Uses Propellers to Cut Active Hornet’s Nest in Half

Beyond speed, we have to admit that our crew has a lot of different hobbies. While it would be nice to immerse ourselves in the art of going fast every second of every day, we all tend to dive into different sections of entertainment to be able to take a break from it all once in a while. Perhaps these hobbies might be something like remote control vehicles or even photography. As it turns out, one hobby that this individual pictured in the video happened to pick up is that of flying a drone but instead of doing it in a way that you might expect, it looks like he takes it to a whole new level entirely.

Now, if there is one thing that you might find hanging out in your backyard that you absolutely should get rid of as soon as possible, it would be a hornet’s nest. As you probably know, or common sense would tell you, if you get into close quarters with a hornet or end up accidentally banging into the nest, it could spell out bad news as the little guys can do some pretty good damage to you with their stingers. Normally, this would call for some sort of extermination spray or maybe even a professional to come out and deal with it, however, this individual had another idea in mind entirely and you might be able to see where this one is going.

If you follow along in the video below, you’ll be able to witness the onboard camera of the drone as it flies incredibly close to the nest, using its propellers to chop the nest in half. It’s pretty crazy that the pilot here was able to hover so closely and do this without crashing and the video that you get from up close is pretty amazing, to say the least.
