Elon Musk Admits Tesla Autopilot System Will “Never be Perfect”
When it comes to a brand like Tesla, it seems like the company is incredibly polarizing which honestly came as a shock to myself and some of those around me.
When you look at the things that they’re creating, it’s kind of hard to imagine a scenario where there’s a group of people who doesn’t exactly like the company, however, it seems to be as if the brand is a love it or hate it kind of setup. I guess that no matter what you do, it’s impossible to please everybody all the time anyway, right?
This time, with an in-depth interview, we’re able to get a little bit deeper inside the head of the Elon Musk, a man who, love him or hate him, you have to admit is incredibly interesting and has some amazing ideas stashed away in that brain of his. In addition to getting his perspective on the back-and-forth between fans and naysayers of the Tesla brand, he also tells us a little bit about what people should be expecting of the autopilot system that you’ll find on the company’s vehicles, a system that Musk says is more of a driving assistant than it is a completely autonomous driver in and of itself.
If you follow along in the video below, those topics are discussed along with talking about how Musk went behind the back of the National Transportation Safety Board in the investigation regarding a Tesla Model X accident that occurred while utilizing these autonomous driving features, slammed into a barrier on a Texas highway, causing one fatality.
It really seems like we are in a great stage of development but with that development, there are obviously a lot of checks and balances that need to be in place before it ends up getting out of hand.
