When you’re the lone survivor in a tournament and only have to get down the track one last time to claim your victory, we will normally see a pass that resembles that of a stock econo-box. That is, slow and steady with a 0% chance of failure or a crash.

When advancing to the final round, all that John Robinson had to do was make it 1320 feet from start to finish without mishap and he would take home the win in his diesel dragster. Well, John had other ideas. Instead, he lined up as usual and gave ‘er hell to make his last pass count and it almost went horribly wrong. Check out the video below as John’s dragster hops out of the groove and makes our hearts skip a beat.
