F4 Phantom jet hits concrete wall at 500 MPH

When it comes to testing the protective measures designed to insulate a nuclear power station from threats of all shapes and sizes, no test is too extreme.

This time, we check out a little crash testing that sends an F4 Phantom jet into a concrete barrier at an impressive 500 mph, a speed where nothing good is going to come about.

When the plane digs its nose into the wall, it looks like the structure that’s made to absorb the impact does its job as the once quick jet is pulverized into dust!

Check out the video below that shows the crash test using a slow motion camera that makes this test come to life. They really spared no circumstance in making this test provide piece of mind.

It leads one to wonder what other extremes they went to in order to ensure that absolutely nothing would be able to penetrate this layer of protection.
