First EcoBoost Mustang to Break 10s with a STICK SHIFT Takes down C7 Corvette
As times roll on, out comes new technology that we’re forced to adapt to or get left behind. Over the past couple of years, Ford has been rolling out smaller turbocharged applications into their lineup, perhaps to begin to replace the bigger displacement engines. For many, it’s something that causes great controversy as they’ve fallen for the things that a well-built v8 can accomplish but for others like this Ford Mustang owner who is ready to rip, he’s taking full advantage of the technology available to him and has used it to throw together a stick shift setup that rules over all the others of the sort.
Yes, this setup might be rocking only half the cylinders and less than half the displacement of its Coyote counterpart, however, it’s pretty impressive how hard this mini monster is able to crank, especially after being paired with a few choice modifications and a new turbo that’s able to help it along to the high 10-second range. Say what you will about the decision to throw a turbocharged four cylinder into the action, but we’re loving every second of it as this car absolutely rips, going so far as outrunning a C7 Chevrolet Corvette all the way to the finish line in shocking fashion!
Check out the video down below as the BigKleib34 cameras rolled and got up close and personal with this Mustang that really knows how to lay it down. After seeing what this thing does for yourself, be sure to tell us what you think of the EcoBoost machine that’s out there setting records and going way beyond what most probably thought would be possible. After seeing this thing rip, what do you think? Are you impressed by this setup or do you still need to see more before you hop on board with these turbocharged four bangers?
