Floating Pods Look To Be Future Of Public Transportation

When it comes to the way that we get around on a regular basis, it seems like an area that is constantly being improved upon at a rate that’s running away from most other sectors. Whether it’s personal transportation like electric vehicles finding their way to personal garages in swarms or public transportation like Elon Musk’s Boring Company, there always seems to be someone somewhere who is looking to make things better in some way or another whether it be through speed, efficiency, or maybe even a mix of multiple factors. Who knows? Maybe one day in the near future, with all of these efforts, transportation won’t even look anything like that which we know today.

This time, we take the opportunity to check out a public transportation concept that takes a look at things in a completely different way than what we’re used to. Normally, when we talk about something like public transportation, you might think of something like a bus or a subway, however, this time, the individual behind the design that we see here decided that transportation might be better if it were elevated above the roadways in their current state and the way that this plan is executed is something that you have to see to believe.

If you follow along down in the video below, you’ll be able to see the visualization that brings to life an amazing infrastructure of transportation that allows people to hover over traffic, bringing together the concepts of buses and subways and putting a little bit of an extra twist on it. It would be pretty interesting to see something like this implemented in the real world but for now, it just remains to be the rendering that we see in front of us. Just imagine hovering above traffic as it travels down the highway!
