Flying Door Smashes Ginetta G55 GT3 Racecar’s Windshield!

When it comes to road racing, there are many obstacles to consider, including, but not limited to the other cars and various turns that the track has to offer.

One thing that you probably wouldn’t consider to be an issue on the track, however, would be a flying windshield. Perhaps this is a lesson in always expecting the unexpected.

This time, we check in with Ginetta factory driver, Mike Simpson, as he gives us the rundown of what happened when he was behind the wheel of the Ginetta G55 GT3 and came face to face with the flying windshield.

Check out the video of the incident below as Simpson simply blasts through the debris as to keep the car under control. He did end up being alright, but the flying glass ended up costing the race team a couple of pretty pennies.
