Hurricane Irma is now a category 5 and they are currently evacuating parts of Florida after seeing the damage done to the surrounding islands such as St martin and the Bahamas! To give some perspective the massive flood that just hit Houston TX (hurricane Harvey) was a category 4 and did 250x the damage as a typical category 3 hurricane would do. This hurriane about to hit Florida is 500x the damage so we expect to see massive disaster throughout Florida. We really hope that people evacuate and minimal human lives are affected by this immense storm.

The center of a typhoon or Hurricane is called the eye with winds that move toward the center in counterclockwise direction in the northern hemisphere.
