Frankie “The Madman” Taylor goes up in Flames!!! At Redemption 8.0
When it comes to racing, you most certainly win some and you definitely lose some as well. You can’t expect to get out there and have the race go well each and every time and sometimes, you’re going to have that crash and burn moment unfolding in your own court – there’s nothing that you can do about it but take it as it comes and react accordingly.
This time, it just so happens to be Frankie “the Madman” Taylor going up in flames at Redemption 8.0. The car does its burnout and lines up in the groove, just as expected as it has on hundreds of other runs but this time, it looks like something simply didn’t line up as fire began to pour from under the hood, rendering the car crippled at the starting line and awaiting the emergency team to come and put out the blaze.
Luckily, the fire didn’t spread too far before they were able to extinguish it but this one is definitely a heartbreaker as the Chevrolet Camaro was left sitting on the line as the driver was forced to watch the competition make its way down the track to easily take home the win without any competition to speak of on this pass.
This is never how you want to see a race end but you can’t always have it your way. Hopefully, this display just ends up being a small hiccup in the road to being the ultimate competitor for this bad bowtie. We were really looking forward to seeing these cars throw down in this race under their own power and maybe, at some point in the future, stars will align once again allow these two to go to battle.
You can follow along with the action thanks to the guys over at the National No Prep Association down in the video below and be sure to tell us what you think of this kind of blooper happening on the starting line. Honestly, I personally think the team is lucky to this fire didn’t spread and get worse.
