General Motors Announces Brand New Duramax Engine For The Sierra
In the world of pulling power, there aren’t too many consumer trucks coming off of the assembly line today cranking out more power than the diesel powerhouses that we in the streets.
Under the Chevrolet nameplate, the diesel brand used to power the action is of course coming from a Duramax and it’s getting a little retool to bring it up to speed. The 6.6L V8 is a complete retool from previous years and is said to offer up more power and torque than ever before.
We’re told via DieselArmy that the new powerplant will crank out an SAE-certified 445 horsepower alongside 910 pound-feet of torque. This thing is guaranteed to be an absolute monster to get done whatever the job at hand happens to be with any more torque, you might just find yourself ripping up the highway!
