General Motors Employees Jailed For Street Racing Pre-Production C8 Corvette.
When you take a sports car like the Corvette out for a spin it’s pretty easy to get a little out of hand. (Ask us how to know lol) However, things might be a little different when you’re an employee of the manufacture and just test driving the company car. Which is exactly what these General Motors employees in Kentucky did.
Police in Bowling Green, Kentucky (For the few that don’t know this is where the Corvette is produced, and the Corvette Museum is located) Say that two General Motors employees in C8 stingray Corvettes Alexander Thim and Mark Derkatz On January 8th for going more than 26 mph over the 45 mph posted speed limit.
No word on exactly how fast the two were driving, but 26+ mph over the limit is a bit much for public roads, and where Kentucky draws the line and takes you straight to jail. General Motors is aware of the incident and investigating the two who were engineers in the company.
