GT500 vs Demon… Keeping it Real Goes Wrong
With each turn of the page and a new chapter beginning, there is always a new top dog to want to take on as cars roll off of the assembly line each and every year with more and more potent combinations than what we’ve seen in years past. I think that most people would agree that the latest to take the title of top dog would be none other than the Dodge Demon. The supercharged machine is one of the first factory performance vehicles that is oriented mostly as a drag racing vehicle that’s designed for the street, promising times in the nine-second category in a quarter mile straight out of the box, something that has never really been done before with a mass-produced muscle car like this.
Therefore, with a new top dog emerging, it’s only natural that everybody wants to take their shot at the leader. Even if it’s just for the sake of being a benchmark, everybody who has ever set tire to pavement on a drag racing surface and thinks that they have a realistic shot at even hanging with the Demon would probably enjoy lining up against one to see how they do. This time, the vehicle in question just so happens to be a Shelby GT500 with an owner who apparently likes to do a little bit of smack talking.
If you follow along down in the video below, you’ll be able to ride along with the Demonology YouTube channel, the guys who have taken us along for every step of what it’s like to own one of these monsters, including when it gets down and dirty on the race track. How will this smack talking battle of the American titans unfold? Will the older Shelby GT500 be able to overcome the brand-new big dog? There’s only one way to find out by tuning in for the video below.
