Guy Gets His Car Repo’d While Putting Gas In…
Repos are amusing to watch, as long as you’re not the poor guy or gal losing your ride to the tow hook. We’ve seen them in some of the most unlikely locations and situations, but this, I believe, is a first. In an unbelievable stroke of bad luck, this guy had the tow truck turn up to collect at the gas pump, meaning not only did the guy lose his wheels, but he had just filled it up, meaning he watched a good $25 or so worth of perfectly good gas being taken from him as well.
Of course, as you can imagine, he didn’t give up without a fight. The driver of the small sedan tried first to simply grab the car of the repossessor, who also showed up with the tow truck looking suspiciously like an officer of the law, mostly because of his Interceptor-style Crown Vic. However, the driver of the car being repossessed elects instead to get back into his car, or the car that was formerly his, and try to reverse off of the tow hook. The guy in the Crown Vic, seeing what was happening and thinking quickly, uses his own car to block the agitated driver from continuing to try to escape the clutches of the tow truck.
It’s unfortunate for anybody to fall on hard times and lose their car. We would certainly not ever wish anybody have to go through something like this, but it happens every day and, at least in many cases, the interactions go much more smoothly. When there is an altercation, though, it can get heated and is often pretty amusing to watch. At least this tow truck driver didn’t have an entire apartment complex worth of people come out and pile onto the car as he tried to hook up, a situation we saw in a recent video from Dallas.
That’s a totally different type of situation though, and we can’t really say how we’d handle that if we were on either side of it, but we certainly were astonished by the video itself.
