Hackers Remotely Kill a Jeep on the Highway!

Today, cars will do anything for you from heating your seats to cooling them to navigating you to wherever you want your destination to be via a handy GPS system.

While all of these features might be useful and make everything a lot more convenient, the computer that controls them can also be used for evil as you can see by these hackers that got into a Jeep Cherokee.

Even though, in this case, the driver was aware that the attack was coming, it’s still scary to know that the hackers can remotely control the interior fans or radio and even shut the vehicle off completely or disable the brakes. That’s pretty scary to imagine granted that this was done by just two guys with a computer.

We’re trying to imagine what could happen if an entire group of professionals with more sinister intent got a hold of this technology. It’s a terrifying path to walk down and if automakers aren’t careful, this hacking could be somebody’s real life horror movie.
