This time, we check out some tech that is seriously cool. Whether it would be used in a professional application or just in the garage is up to you. However, we have to admit that we were thoroughly impressed by what we ended up seeing here.

With traditional welding, lots of heavy equipment is necessary. However, with a machine like this, it appears as if the task is taken on at a smaller scale. With the help of a handheld laser, the video shows a seamless weld that are done with ease.

The unit is produced by a company called Leiming and it promises to be capable of fusing together all sorts of different types of metals. Included in their repertoire, the company promises the unit to work with stainless steel, aluminum, copper, chromium, nickel, titanium and other metals. They tell us that it should be able to work with less common metals as well.

As far as the tech goes, the results look absolutely stunning. With a unit like this, it looks like almost anybody could get into the art of welding. With a stroke of the handheld laser welding machine, even you could turn those booger laden welds into something that looks like it came out of a factory!

The video below teases what might be possible with a tool like this. How realistic these results would be in someone’s personal garage may vary. Try as we may, we couldn’t find anywhere the price for this bad boy published anywhere. We get the feeling that it’s going to be at the top of some Christmas lists, though!
