Helmet Cam Takes us Inside the Routine of US Army Mobile Turret Operator
For some reason or another, human beings seem to be incredibly infatuated with the art of war. It’s not quite clear exactly what it is that brings this about but it has caused people to invest all kinds of money not only in video games like Call of Duty and war movies but also a bunch of time in watching videos like this one that take you straight to the scene to see what something like a battleground might be like. If that is your particular cup of tea, and this video is going to be one that you really do thoroughly enjoy.
This time, we head out to the field to check out a little bit of a training exercise in one that is designed to get troops on the same page when it comes to exactly how one would go about taking out an SBVIED which is basically a suicide bomber’s vehicle. The video footage just so happens to be coming from a turret operator perched atop of a Humvee that is rolling up on the vehicle that happens to be the target. When the scenario really gets cranking, you can almost feel the adrenaline flowing through your own veins, taking you inside of one of the training exercises that these guys are put through as they roll up on the subject with guns blazing.
If you didn’t already have a lot of respect for what these men and women are putting on a line out there, this training exercise could clue you in to a fraction of what is undergone in the name of making this country a safer place to live. Watching something like this is truly a humbling experience that makes you realize exactly what these folks have to go through in order to get to the battlefield in the first place. Lots of blood, sweat, and tears are sunken into protecting this country and this video gives you a small window into seeing just that.
