Here Are the Top 10 Challengers Coming to the Electric Car Market in 2021
When we take a look at the electric vehicle market, it has taken an unlikely path. For years upon years, manufacturers have been trying to crack the code. Not only have they been trying to make the electric vehicle cool but they’ve also been trying to make it efficient. Up until now, that combination has not been figured out by those who have given it a shot… That was until Tesla came along.
After years and years of many trying to get it right and pretty much failing, a newcomer came along and really blew the doors off of the industry. In fact, over the past couple of years, Tesla has been pretty much the only successful mass-produced electric automaker in the States.
However, as we move forward into 2021, it looks like there will be a lot more folks competing with the electric car giant. In fact, it seems like almost every major automaker is trying to get in on their piece of the electric pie. It seems as if not having an electric offering moving forward might be a shot in the foot, crippling anyone who is looking to appeal to the masses.
This time, we take a dive into how each brand is planning on breaking into the electric game. Some of them are bringing SUVs, others plan for sedans, and some of these vehicles are just downright obscure and different. As the market is very quickly evolving, it’s kind of hard to figure out what will come next. However, as far as the immediate future, these are the options that we’re going to have access to over the next year or so.
There are going to be some interesting storylines to watch over the next couple of years. Even though so many brands are trying to get in on the market, they have a lot of proving themselves to do. After all, none of these brands have a track record of being successful with electric vehicles. In fact, some of them have flat out failed to the fullest extent of the concept in the past. *Ahem* Chevy Volt.
Perhaps, 2021 will be a year for change.
