As we know, the lubricating properties of oil are what keeps our engines ticking, or err, not ticking if you want to be a little bit more technical about it.

What would happen, however, if you chose to run an engine without oil? How long would it last and better yet, how would it die off? Would it be a dramatic rod through the side of the block?

This time, we check out a situation in which a car that’s about to be sent to the scrap yard is put through its final paces to see how long it would last under a normal load without oil.
