Hyundai Accent Drags BMW M5 Not Once BUT TWICE!
With the rise of Honda performance, we’ve seen a phenomenon that takes a car that might otherwise just be seen as a daily driver, nothing more than something that will save you a little bit of fuel and help you to get to and from work, as it’s transformed to something else entirely, becoming a performance machine. It’s a world that a lot of people have definitely learned to sleep on but I think that’s just the way that they like it as these kinds of cars can really sneak up on you and punch you in the mouth if you’re not prepared for what they have to offer.
While Honda seems to be the nameplate behind some of the fastest front wheel drive import machines that you will find on a drag strip, this time, we check out something a little bit different as someone took it upon themselves to bring out a pretty darn fast Hyundai Accent to Atco Dragway and this thing takes what you would expect from a Hyundai and kicks it up to a new level, making this car make magic out there in the quarter mile! It’s definitely something that mixes it up a little bit and that the person in the next lane over would never expect to be coming, even with the slicks mounted up front.
If you follow along down below in the TalonTSi97 video, you’ll be able to catch up with the unlikely hero as it makes its way to passes that nearly burst their way to the 10-second range. In the process, the car even manages the beat up on a BMW M5. However, it’s not something to be embarrassed about as this is one quick machine that proves that you can really build anything. The barrier of the 10-second range is nothing to scoff at and we really have to give this driver props for doing something different!
