If You Find Your Car Underwater in a Flood, This is Exactly What You Need to Do
We have to start out by saying that it’s incredibly unfortunate what has been happening in both Houston and Florida over the past couple of weeks. The amount of devastation that has struck of these places and several others outside of the United States has been incredible, causing people to have to pick up and start all over again. Thankfully, insurance companies are in place to make sure that people will be able to rebuild their lives even though it still going to be a very uphill battle. I can only imagine that those without proper insurance are going to have an even tougher time.
This time, we figured that, by spreading this kind of information, we might be able to help out people who are stuck in a tough situation. While browsing around the Internet, we stumbled upon this incredibly useful video from YouTuber, ETCG1. In this one, he takes it upon himself to explain to us exactly why anything to do with a flooded car is an incredibly bad idea. It’s not only about the rust that will probably come underneath of your ride but just about everything else that is inversely affected by the likes of a flood.
In this one, Eric tells us all about how flood waters can wreak havoc on everything from making your carpets moldy to corroding all sorts of different electronics throughout your machine and basically leveling a vehicle to the point where it needs a complete restoration. When you take a chance to look at flooded cars from this perspective, it probably is better to cut your losses and just start over again. If you have a car that you’re attached to, it would really suck to have to take that route but, in most cases, it probably makes the most sense. This is definitely something to consider if the thought of buying a flood car had crossed your mind as well.
