Imports vs Supercars, Can a Modded Import Beat a High Dollar Supercar?
As you find your way into the car community, there are just some things that you find out aren’t exactly as they might have seemed before you started to gather your bearings. For one reason or another whether it be due to pop-culture or what a friend of a friend told you, certain cars get put up on a pedestal and, in reality, they shouldn’t be there. It almost seems like, many times, you will find people judging cars based on the name on the badge on the front rather than what that particular model has actually managed to do. If you’ve been around the block once or twice, you’ll quickly be able to point out exactly why that’s a mistake.
Now, we are absolutely positively not condemning supercars in any way. There are certainly vehicles out there that fall under the supercar category that are worth their weight in gold when it comes to performance ability. However, as it turns out, there are also a lot of supercars that really don’t perform as well as the untrained mind would expect them to. In this one, we check out a whole collection of supercars as they go head-to-head with imports in a battle for supremacy. Some of the races are closer than others and a variety of these matchups might just surprise you as they’re not close at all.
Follow along with the video below that takes the liberty of compiling a collection of races as these supercars take on other imported machines of the non-supercar variety that you might not expect to be able to hold a candle in these sorts of races. This is a big piece of leverage that goes toward the argument that looks can be deceiving. When you’re out there racing, you’d better have your bearings ready to roll because you never know what’s coming (or not coming) from a car of any variety.
