Incredibly Skilled F22 Pilot Makes a Touchdown With Only Two Wheels
Despite being out of production for several years now, the Air Force’s F-22 Raptor is still considered the most advanced fighter jet on the planet. Its combination of control, technology and stealth make it an incredibly effective in both combat and air support, while a heathy armament make it lethal to other fighter jets along with targets on the ground.
The pilots of the F-22, as you would expect, are some of the most talented and well-trained pilots in the armed forces. After all, when your ride is capable of cruising at Mach 1.8 without even using the afterburners, things happens really quickly, so you want your best men at the helm. To display the Raptor’s incredible balance – along with his skills on the stick – this video shows one of the pilots landing his F-22 on only the back two wheels, riding the wheelie down the runway like a BMX rider on a half-billion dollar bike.
He rides the wheelie past the point the camera stopped panning to follow him, so we don’t know how far he was able to ride it out, but it was definitely an impressive display of control and balance.
