Insane Close Call… Mustang Almost Takes Out Camaro in Sketchy Street Race

In the course of a street race, you never really know what’s going to happen out there. If you ask just about any racer who has ever done it, the street is really the great equalizer, giving slower cars with better drivers a chance to really keep up. People who have figured out how to race on the track are to be respected because it’s most certainly no walk in the park but, when you take out the traction compound that you find all the way down tour local drag strip, things can get a little bit more interesting as the drivers are really put to the test. Let’s just say that in most cases on the streets, all consistency is thrown out the window as compared to a drag strip and figuring out how to get that consistency back is an uphill battle to say the least.

This time, we’re shown exactly how inconsistent and volatile a street surface can really be as the Ford Mustang known as “Da’ Hellion” goes up against the Chevrolet Camaro known as “Mean Green.” Right off of the line, it looks like the Camaro is sliding around a little bit, giving you that on edge feeling that the Chevrolet is about to lose control but with a little bit of good driving, those drivers are able to get their cars in a line and rocket through the finish line.

However, when it comes time to slow down, this is where things are going to get a little bit dicey as the Mustang ends up going sideways in front of the Camaro! That’s definitely not a situation that either one of the drivers wants to find themselves in.

Ride along with the situation down in the video below as this near miss ends up making everybody on site pucker up. Just imagine trying to slow down at such a high-speed when either your car ends up sliding sideways or you’re on the other end of the spectrum where you have a car directly in front of you and you’re forced to stop a lot shorter than you had originally expected.
