It’s an age-old story that we’ve heard over and over again, but is the idea that being inside of a vehicle protecting you from lightning really true?

This dashcam video takes us inside of the incident first hand as it actually unfolds in real life as this car makes its way across an intersection.

As the car crosses, the lightning crashes from the sky, coming down hard on the car in a gigantic flash, causing the car to roll to a stop. We aren’t told if the people inside were alright or not?
