Is The The Most Epic Wheelstand in NHRA History?

We’ve seen some pretty insane things happen in between the walls at NHRA events and with the speeds that these guys reach, the action is usually nothing short of an adrenaline pumping slobber knocker that really tends put you back in your seat.

When driving at over 200 mph, one false move could mean complete destruction and potentially hardcore injury to match but when it comes to experienced driver, Cruz Pedregon, his half track wheelstand was handled with complete confidence that allowed both himself and the car to make it out alive. When it all unfolded, it would be enough to make your experience as a fan a pucker-worthy one, so you could only imagine what it felt like in the car when his wheels left the ground at 200 mph!

It’s truly the purest rush that you will experience as the car pulls the front end up at around the eighth mile and doesn’t set down until after the quarter mile finish line. The announcer calls the action just right, saying that if the driver didn’t keep his composure this could’ve ended much worse and probably would have for a less experienced driver. Luckily, that wasn’t the case here as we’re left with an insane sideshow without the after effects that could have resulted after the wheelie should things have veered in a different direction.

We aren’t really sure how he managed to keep this thing rolling in a straight line but I guess that’s something that you can think about for yourself when you check out all of the action as pictured below. In this display, Cruz is nothing short of a machine and the way that he managed to stay in it and pull his way out of this one seems like it’s really nothing short of a miracle!

One of the craziest runs EVER happened last year at the #ToyotaNats when Cruz Pedregon had this epic wheelstand. #tbt
