Is This the Smallest Working Engine in the World?
It seems like there’s a constant push toward making everything in the world smaller and more compact and we can say that this engine definitely falls into that category.
Clocking in at just 0.1 cubic centimeters of displacement, this two stroke diesel engine is about as small as you can get while still functioning.
The owner of the engine tells us that he plans on building a remote control model to use this engine and prop on, at which point he will also put together a larger fuel tank.
Check out the video below to see exactly why we’re impressed at how tiny this engine is. Oh yeah and if you’re wanting to get your hands on one for yourself, we’re also told that the engines formerly produced by Allen Engineering pop up on eBay once or twice each year for $100-200 each.
