In film culture, the Fast and Furious franchise has a very peculiar spot. It’s one of those movies that, with eight installments, somehow manages to get a little bit cheesier each time, but for one reason or another, fans continue to flock to theaters and make each and every movie more and more successful, boosting the brand to new heights that the world of movies has never seen before.

Now, these reviewers seem to insist that even for the crowd that has accepted the cheesiness of it all at this point and put their mind in a place where it’s just a fun movie to go out and watch may even have a couple of head-scratching moments where they find that this installment strays just a little bit too far away from the core of what it’s all about… If anyone can even figure that out anymore.
