Jockey Shift Explained
If there’s one thing that the vast majority of motorcycle riders will tell you, it’s that the whole lifestyle is about the freedom provided by riding. There’s just something about getting out there on two wheels in the open that just seems so liberating and as such, has prompted riders to get on bike after bike, pushing this lifestyle to really become one of the mainstream! Once you’ve gotten the hang of things as a newbie, you can then expand to customize your experience, really making a motorcycle fit you and exactly the way that it is that you’ve now found that you like to ride, customizing your experience with all kinds of different parts and accessories.
This time, we check out a cruiser as this rider shows us all something a little bit different that’s known as the “Jockey Shift” with a “Suicide Clutch.” Basically, we’re looking at yet another method of shifting a bike that might just be a little bit away from something that would otherwise be considered traditional. Seeing all sorts of different ways to operate like this is enough to get any rider curious as to the different things that they could possibly change on their bike to head out to make their experience slightly altered from what they’re used to. Heck, who knows, you might just like trying something new!
