John Force Becomes The First Driver to Run 4.8 Seconds in a Funny Car in 1996

In this day and age, racing is evolving at such a rapid pace that it’s hard to keep up with exactly how fast everyone is going and how the records are falling but back in the day, everyone knew exactly how fast John Force needed to go to make the record books write his name.

In this video, we throw it way back to 1996 to check out a situation that most certainly had the crowd roaring as Force really gave them a reason to get up out of their seats and clap for the effort. The display is really nothing short of awesome to watch, even behind a screen.
