The team of Kevin Fiscus and Josh Klugger have already fielded a couple of attention grabbing, record setting rides, so when they collaborated quietly with Skinny Kid Race Cars, ProLine Racing Engines, and FuelTech to build a new hotrod, whispers of “Klugger’s new car” began to circulate through the community months ago, but only recently have photos of the car been released.

While the car was built to be an all-out racecar, the craftsmanship and attention to detail have created a truly beautiful ride that would be right at home on the floor of any car show.

The car is a gorgeous silver and black 1967 Shelby GT500, but beneath the iconic silhouette lies a full 25.2-certified double frame rail chassis, ensuring the car will not only be safe for Klugger, but will also handle the power from the ProLine-built twin turbo Hemi wedged between the shock towers. Twin 106mm Garrett turbos will force-feed the all-billet engine, sending the power rearward via a ProTorque converter and a custom TH400 transmission.Out back, the gobs of horsepower will be applied via Weld Racing beadlocks, with matching V-Series wheels up front. The car is currently at Menscer Motorsports being fitted with Mark Menscer’s latest custom suspension goodies front and back.

Of course, there will be a FuelTech FT600 controlling everything under the hood, providing next-level tunability and power management for the raucous powerplant. These units are truly state of the art and provide tuners unparalleled control, which will be needed to tame the yet-to-be determined power levels.

Look for the car to make its on-track debut at Donald Long’s radial showcase, Lights Out X in early February after a trip up to FuelTech for some dyno tuning.
