Kurt Busch accepts blame for causing multi-car crash at Bristol Motor Speedway

In a sport like NASCAR, many factors come into play when it comes to the way that the drivers jock back-and-forth for position and sometimes, this battle can get just a little bit messy and spiral out of control as tempers to flare and bank accounts have to open up to pay for the damages.

On a track Like Bristol Motor Speedway, putting all of those cars on the racing surface is almost like shoving 10 pounds of you know what into a 5-pound bag and mishaps are bound to happen as everyone is one small misstep away from these mishaps at all times.

This time, it’s all about a battle for the lead as multiple cars go back and forth attempting to push their way into first place so that they have all that much better of a chance to go home with the win. That’s always the goal in mind, right?

Anyways, Kurt Busch was a little bit too to determined to keep his position and before he knew it, the car would get loose, spinning out and taking out multiple other cars in the field.

Since the time of the incident, Busch has accepted the blame, saying that he misjudged his marks by a little bit which caused the disappointing mishap.

Via NASCAR.com, Busch recalled the incident stating that “The way that our car was restarting it felt comfortable, it felt good. That inside with the rosin and the VHT (traction compound) if you don’t hit it exactly right, you lose a lot of time. I tried to make up for it and got loose. I feel really bad for the Monster Energy guys. We had a win in our sights and I just drove the car at 101 percent instead of that 99.”

In a sport like NASCAR, you have got to give it all that you have and this time, it looks like Bush just might have given it a little bit too much. Now, all that’s left to do is set his sights on the next battle in between the concrete walls.
